Christian and Kendra first met during their Cosmos class in the second week of their freshman year at Boston College.  After class, Kendra was rushing down Linden Lane to get to the bus stop to return to her dorm on Newton Campus.  By chance, Christian was heading the same way.  In an attempt to make conversation, Christian asked Kendra all of the typical freshman questions:

 

“What dorm are you in?”

“What’s your major?”

“Where are you from?”

 

After several one-word answers from Kendra, she continued to rush ahead by herself. Failing to take the hint, Christian bluntly asked:

 

“Does everyone from Ohio walk so fast?!”

 

This stopped Kendra in her tracks. Cracking a somewhat strained smile after a long day of work and classes, she, for some lucky reason, decided to keep chatting with Christian instead of telling him to get lost. When the bus finally pulled into Newton Campus, Christian asked for Kendra’s number so they could “do their Cosmos homework together,” and she obliged, even though he'd end up dropping the class only a few weeks later. 

 

Upon discovering that Kendra had never tried sushi before, Christian insisted on making that their first date. A couple of weeks later, on September 27, 2012, Christian took Kendra on their first date at Fin’s Sushi in Cleveland Circle, and the rest is history!

 

Since then, we’ve lived in 4 cities (Boston, London, New York, and Santa Fe), and travelled together to 17 countries throughout Europe, Asia, and South America.  For 7 of the last 11+ years that we’ve spent together, we’ve been lucky enough to call New York City our home.  We can’t wait to share the greatest city in the world with you!
